We understand that embarking on a home or landscape project is a significant step, and we’re here to guide you through every stage of the process.
We would like to outline the process we have developed to guide you through transforming your yard and property, many people find themselves frustrated with how or where to start. We find focusing on the fun part, building your wish list first is a great way to kick it off – we call it the “Dream Builder”.

Fill Us In On Your Project
Your journey begins when you share your vision with us and tell us about your project. To get started, fill out our “Dream Builder” survey – it blends a little humor with options you might consider for your project!
On the last page of the survey, there is a space to Include some images of your home or project area. This helps us understand your space better.
We believe in matching your project with the right talent. So, the next step is scheduling a pre-consultation call with one of our experienced designers. Each of our team members has unique specialties, ensuring you get a great fit for your project, sometimes there may be additional needs you have, and we can call in other team members to help – for example you may want to redo your back patio and porch, but also have overgrown and outdated beds. We can get started with your first priority and then bring in our Horticultural and Tree experts to cover all your needs!
If you are eager to kickstart the process and secure your consultation meeting, we encourage you to pay the consultation fee before the pre-consult call. This will allow us to schedule the in-home consultation on the pre-consult call. While you’re not obligated to pay the consultation fee without discussing your project first, this will help speed up the process.
The Project Discovery and Design Process
At Lotus, we believe in giving your project the attention it deserves. Our dedicated team is committed to helping you dream, plan, and budget to achieve your landscape and property goals.
Your consultation appointment is a one-hour session with an industry-certified expert in landscape, horticulture, construction, or tree work. We are your outdoor and home guides, and our primary goal is to provide you with valuable information and insights during this consultation.
Depending on your needs, we will follow up with either a design contract and process or an estimate/proposal for your work. We tailor our approach to fit your unique project requirements.
We understand the importance of timing, and we always prioritize it. We offer you the option to enter a retainer contract to secure scheduling for your project, ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.
Our design process can range from simple concept work to elaborate master planning. It typically involves at least a concept and final design meeting, along with continued pricing discussions and final proposal work. This process can range from a couple of weeks to a couple of months depending on the complexity of your project.
Installing Your Work
Now comes the exciting part – turning your dreams into reality!
We have dedicated teams of Project Managers, Artisans, Craftsmen, and Gardeners ready to bring your project to life. With Lotus, you won’t have to worry about the coordination nightmare of managing a complex installation or home project on your own.
Once you have your final proposal, secure your project’s scheduling with a deposit. Your designer will introduce you to your Project Manager, who will work closely with our various teams to ensure your project is executed in well-planned phases for success. The construction process is a messy one and often can reveal new aspects or details you may want to add or change – your designer and project manager will work together to come up with creative solutions to solve site problems or design scope changes to make the project the best it can be!
At the end of your project, your Project Manager partnering with your designer will ensure that we review the site and you are happy with the work! We want to make sure you understand our warranty, your requirements and responsibility for a plant watering schedule, next steps, and if you desire a maintenance plan for your property (this is highly recommended in the first 3 years of establishment).
