End of Year Message from Traven

Lotus Gardenscapes | Bloom! Gardens & Nursery -- Bloom! and Lotus Announcement -- Traven with Rocky in a Top Hat

End of Year Message from Traven

November, 2015

It’s great to have a moment at the end of a busy season to reflect on what the year has brought us! As most of you know, we purchased and re-merged with Lotus Gardenscapes Inc. this year right at the beginning of spring, and we are happy to report that the results were good! Certainly there were a fair number of hiccups and some confusion at merging multiple systems, crews, services etc.  WE ARE PROFOUNDLY GRATEFUL TO YOU, our loyal and wonderful clients for working through this transition with us! This winter we are moving our offices for Lotus over to BLOOM! Garden Center on Baker Road in Dexter, so please note our new address and phone number for next season!  We have emerged from our transformation a much stronger more diverse and varied company. We now have a larger and more robust Landscape Horticulture and Maintenance presence with a dedicated and passionate team led by Julie Lewis-Veselesky, longtime Lotus Maintenance manager. Our hardscapes, water, and wood installation crews have expanded. For those of you unaware of it, we have an ace carpentry team that has installed quite a few unique outdoor living rooms and porches in the last couple of seasons. We have strengthened the connection of our installations and horticulture teams with BLOOM! Gardens Center, and lots more of you are able to take advantage of all that our amazing small boutique and nursery have to offer! The back pages of this “yearbook” are dedicated to some new offerings and our extensive seasonal “Fairyland” workshop offerings. Take a look at the next two pages, and you may see part of your own project from this season being installed! In January we will be combining the two company websites and posting many more of our portfolios on line, so please keep an eye out for that as well! Looking forward, we continue to expand our native plant, rain gardening, and creative collaborative teamwork in the design/build areas to meet the changing climate and work with interesting developments in products and design. I hope you enjoy a restful winter and take the time (like we do) to recharge and plan for another great gardening season in 2016!    -Traven
